Step back into the glamour and romance of the riverboat era during our Saturday matinee milonga. We'll dance as we cruise down the Mississippi River onboard the Creole Queen, an authentic paddlewheeler powered by a 24 foot diameter paddlewheel!

View the French Quarter, the Port of New Orleans, and Jean Lafitte National Historical Park & Preserve and be entertained by the Captain with a detailed narration of New Orleans landmarks, history, vessel information and river lore.

 The dock is within walking distance of the Astor Crowne Plaza Hotel where Canal Street meets Poydras Street.

This special milonga includes:

  • Cruise down the Mississippi River
  • Narrated cruise and a one-hour shore excursion at the Chalmette Battlefield with a guided tour and talk by National Park Rangers. (Yes, the music will continue onboard the boat for those who want to dance!)
  • Creole lunch buffet
  • Cash Bar
  •  Included with Full Pass and Milonga Pass. A la carte price $45. Tickets go on sale April 1st if not sold out with Full and Milonga Passes.
  • Important Note: Entrance to the Saturday Matinee Milonga requires a separate ticket that you will receive when you check in at the festival. You MUST present the ticket at the Creole Queen (1 Poydras Street) in order to board.
